校服

   今天去送J的时候，助理教师MRS BACON告诉我要给J买上体育课用的短裤。我只给她买了，JUMPER套头衫，CARDIGAN这两种校服，其他的还没来得及买，听了老师的建议后，我马上去WOOLWORTH`S 去买，结果HARROW AND WEALSTONE的WOOLWORTH`S没货，我又跑到ST GEODGE`S去，买着了WHITE BLOUSE白衬衣和NAVY TROUSES 裤子，和两双长袜，一双是枣红色，一双是黑色。

  明天还要去买鞋子和短裤SHORTS- NAVAL BLUE。

  在英国，连学前班的孩子都要求穿校服，这对孩子来说是一种PRIDE，可是听房东说，到中学后，孩子们都不愿意穿校服了。而且校服的颜色都是黑色或海军蓝或棕色（一般是宗教色彩的学校如ST JOSEPH`S），还有红色的。BELMONT FIRST SCHOOL是以海军蓝为主色。白衬衣，黑裤子或蓝裤子，黑皮鞋。

School Uniform

We believe that uniform has an important influence in fostering a good school spirit and are grateful to the great majority of parents for their co-operation in providing the official uniform for their children.

Parents are asked to ensure that all articles of clothing and footwear are clearly marked with the child's name. It is impossible to trace lost articles of clothing which are unmarked.

Children are expected to be responsible for their own clothing.

Every child must have a pair of plimsolls n.橡胶底帆布鞋 (preferably black) before being allowed on P.E. apparatus.

Trainers运动鞋 are not acceptable for safety reasons. Every child can keep a pair of shorts and a T-shirt for P.E. in their shoebag. (Obtainable from school at a cost of £1.50).
